Halloween Reminders  


Trick-Or-Treating: October 31, 3-7 p.m. 
The Village's recommended trick-or-treating hours are 3-7 p.m., today, October 31st. 

Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over
Lombard Officers are out in full force this Halloween season, cracking down on impaired drivers. If you plan on drinking, plan on a sober ride home. Help keep our streets safe and drive sober Lombard

Halloween Safety Tips and Reminders 
To help keep Lombard safe this Halloween, the Lombard Police Department recommend limiting trick-or-treating hours from 3 to 7 p.m. Costumes should also be reflective, and children should be supervised and reminded to never go into the home of a stranger or accept rides.

The Village has received inquiries on the collection of debris from the winter storm on October 30, 2019. Damaged parkway trees will be addressed by the Department, but all material from a tree on private property will need to be disposed of in accordance with the Waste Management contract. (Brush must be bundled and requires a yard waste sticker.) More Information

Village Hall to Update Phone System


Beginning November 1, when calling the Village of Lombard, you may notice that the Village’s main phone number has been upgraded to an automated call attendant. This improvement will allow callers to connect directly to the department that they are seeking. Callers will be able to contact a Village staff member, by pressing “0.”
 
If you are unsure of what department you require, press “0” and someone will assist you. If you have any questions or feedback regarding this change, please email customerservice@villageoflombard.org.

Grace St. and St. Charles Rd. Railroad Crossing CLOSURE Required by Union Pacific
The Village Has been notified that Union Pacific Northwest Railroad will require the COMPLETE closure of the Grace Street/St Charles Rd. Railroad crossing, Friday, November 6 - Sunday, November 8,  for an unplanned improvement project. South Grace is currently closed through November 5th, as part of a different project

Downtown Lombard Pavement Improvements

Sections of St. Charles and Main Street will be under construction in downtown Lombard, on Saturday, November 2nd. Temporary lane closures and no-parking restrictions will be in place. Please use caution.
Veterans Day 2019

Veterans Day Ceremony and
Blood Drive


Veterans Day Ceremony
Residents and community groups are invited to attend the 2019 Veterans Day Ceremony, on Monday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m., at the Sunken Garden in Lombard Common Park. Students from Glenbard East will participate in the program. The featured speaker will be Lombard resident and member of the VFW Lilac Post 5815, Dennis Jensen. 

Fall Blood Drive: Honoring Veterans and Memory of Village President Bill Mueller 
The Village of Lombard is hosting its annual fall blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in honor of Veterans Day. This event also recognizes the former Village President Bill Mueller, who passed away in 2012.
