On Nov. 7th, businesses requested that the Village Board discuss extending the video gaming trial, due to a slow licensing process.

Fire Department Toy Drive and Parade

Giving Back This Season: Fire Department Toy Drive


Help make the season a little bit brighter for a local family by donating a new, unwrapped toy with the Fire Department Toy Drive. Donations benefit the Lombard/Villa Park Food Pantry, the Outreach House, and the Teen Parent Connection. 


Fire Department Toy Parade: Dec. 14 
Residents are invited to attend the Fire Department Toy Parade on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 10:30 a.m. The Fire Department, along with volunteers and community groups, will depart Fire Station 45 at 50 E. St. Charles at 10:15 a.m., and will proceed south on Main Street to Glenbard East High School, collecting toys and donated items along the way.

Water Billing Changes in 2020 

Just a reminder, there will be some changes to your water bill effective January 1, 2020, including:

  • The bill will be visually redesigned to make it more readable.

  • You will notice a new $5 capital fee on the bill. This revenue will help pay for Lombard’s aging infrastructure that needs to be replaced in order to continue to provide clean and safe drinking water into the future. 

  • Customers will now receive water bills on a monthly basis.  Bills will be mailed on the 3rd of every month and will be due on the 24th of every month.

Drive Sober Thanksgiving

Drive Sober Thanksgiving Campaign: Nov. 22 - Dec. 2


The Lombard Police Department arrests drunk drivers year round, however from November 22 - December 2, extra patrols will be on the roads. Lombard is partnering with the Illinois State Police and local law enforcement across Illinois for the increased statewide effort, the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Thanksgiving campaign.

Village Offices to Close for Thanksgiving Holiday


Village Offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday Nov. 29 for Thanksgiving. Offices will reopen for regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., on Monday, December 2.
