  1. Lombard Civil War Reenactment

    The Lombard Historical Society will host its eighth annual Lombard Civil War Reenactment at Four Seasons Park in Lombard from 10 a.m.m to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29, 2018. This family friendly event will feature Stanford’s Battery reenactors, portraying both Confederate and Union soldiers, in a Living History Encampment depicting an 1863 era military campsite. Military drills and demonstrations, cannon fire, Civil War era music and other interactive camp activities provide diversions for all ages. A skirmish between the North and South will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. Suggested donation $5 per person; all donations benefit the Lombard Historical Society.     Lombard’s Cruise Nights and Summer Concert series is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a 2018 summer lineup featuring 10 live music concerts on Saturday nights in downtown Lombard, June 9 – August 25, 2018. Residents and visitors are invited to experience live music, see a large collection of classic and custom cars, and enjoy downtown Lombard’s stores and restaurant establishments.

    Hoof on over to the Civil War Ball for an evening of music and dancing at 7 p.m. on Saturday July 28 at Glenn Westlake Middle School at 1514 S. Main St. in Lombard. Press your finery and sway, twirl and “skip to my Lou”! Refresh yourself with lemonade and vintage recipe cookies. the Ball is open to the public and a five-dollar donation is suggested.
