Project Information

Project Scope: Design engineering for a construction project that involves the rehabilitation of an approximate total of 12,760 feet of 30 inch, 90-inch, 96-inch, and 108-inch diameter combined sewer.

Project Schedule: The project is to be bid in September 2022, with bids due in November of 2022.  Award is subject to IEPA review and approval.  Award is anticipated by March of 2023, with construction to proceed in April of 2023.

Traffic Impact: During design, there may be very minor impacts.  Survey crews will be doing follow-up data collection that was not able to be collected via drone.

FAQs

How does this benefit me? By rehabilitating the sewer, it will improve the structural integrity of the existing pipe, extend its service life and ensure efficient sewer service for the foreseeable future.  By eliminating sources of infiltration, the amount of stormwater being treated by the Glenbard Wastewater Treatment Plant will be significantly reduced.  

Will my road be closed?  No road closures are anticipated during the design phase of the project.

If my driveway is inaccessible where do I park? No driveway closures are anticipated during the design phase of the project.

Will my water or sewer service be affected?  Services are not anticipated to be affected or otherwise impacted during the design phase of the project.
