FAQ’s

Why is this project necessary? Manholes deteriorate over time and need to be periodically maintained. By televising and performing a physical inventory, Public Works can generate a digital condition record of each televised structure. A detailed physical record of structures allows staff to program any necessary inhouse or outsourced repairs and/or maintenance.
How does this benefit the Village? Manholes in good condition have reduced infiltration of groundwater, improved structural integrity and improved sewage flow.
Will there be detours? There may be short-term lane reductions when the Engineer works within the roadway. When work occurs in parking lots, the Engineer may utilize a few spots to stage equipment.
