Communications

Public Meeting: Inspections will be completed on an annual basis and will not disrupt and or disturb residents’ day to day therefore public meetings will not be held.

Webpage Updates: Webpage updates will be provided to keep residents and business owners informed of program developments and upcoming activities. Once the Village completes its qualification-based selection process and a Bridge Program Manager is selected, the webpage will be updated to reflect anticipated inspection schedules and related program information 

Bridge Construction and Maintenance Work: As inspections identify repairs and/or maintenance activities requiring construction, individual project pages will be created to provide detailed information on each effort. Project locations and status updates will also be reflected on the Village’s construction map to keep residents and business owners informed of ongoing and upcoming work.

Project Information

This Project Includes: This project includes providing professional engineering services to support the Municipality’s annual bridge program. The selected consultant will serve as the Bridge Program Manager and will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution oversight of all bridge-related activities.

Services will include, but are not limited to:

  • Program management and coordination of the Municipality’s bridge improvement program 
  • Review and prioritization of bridge inspection reports and condition assessments 
  • Development of annual and multi-year improvement plans and budgets 
  • Preparation of scopes of work for design and construction projects 
  • Coordination with municipal staff, regulatory agencies, and funding partners 
  • Oversight and management of design consultants and construction contractors 
  • Assistance with grant applications, funding documentation, and compliance requirements 
  • Monitoring project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely completion 
  • Providing technical guidance and recommendations on maintenance, rehabilitation, and replacement strategies 
  • Preparation of reports, presentations, and updates for municipal staff and governing bodies 

The consultant will act as an extension of municipal staff, ensuring that the bridge program is implemented efficiently, remains compliant with applicable standards and regulations, and aligns with the Municipality’s long-term infrastructure goals.

Project Schedule: The Bridge Program Manager services will be provided on an annual, ongoing basis, aligned with the Municipality’s fiscal year and capital improvement program. Work will be performed continuously throughout the year to support timely planning, design, and implementation of bridge-related projects.

The consultant will develop and maintain a detailed program schedule that identifies key milestones, including inspection reviews, project scoping, design initiation, permitting, bidding, and construction phases. The schedule will be regularly updated to reflect project progress, funding constraints, and changing municipal priorities.
