Project Information

This Project Includes: Removing and replacing sidewalk trip hazards. It also deals with the repair of concrete utility digs in the sidewalk, roadway, curb and driveway aprons. The Village also uses a sidewalk slicing contractor to cut down existing trip hazards as needed throughout specified zones in the Village. The Village anticipates slicing in zone 8 on the provided map for 2026.

 How does this benefit me? This program improves pedestrian safety by removing uneven or damaged sections of sidewalk that can cause trips and falls. As a resident, you’ll benefit from safer, more accessible walkways for walking, running, or using strollers and mobility aids. Replacing trip hazards also helps prevent injuries, enhances neighborhood walkability, and ensures the sidewalks remain in good condition for everyday use.
Will my road be closed? No.
If my driveway is inaccessible where do I park? If the work limits the access to driveways, the residents will be given parking passes to utilize on street overnight parking.
Will my water or sewer service be affected? Garbage Services? Mail? There will be no impact to water, sewer, garbage or mail services.
