[ARCHIVED] Lombard Cycling Classic Returns to Downtown Lombard July 20th

As part of the Intelligentsia Cup Series, the Lombard Cycling Classic is a one-day event expected to welcome upwards of 1,000 amateur and professional cyclists, and their guests, from around the world to Lombard on Tuesday, July 20th, 10 a.m. - 8:15 p.m., with races scheduled throughout the day. The event is hosted and run by the DuPage County Convention and Visitor's Bureau and details may be found on their website.

Family Bike Race at 6:15 p.m. 
Start a new family tradition by participating in the Kids & Family Community Ride. Meet at the Registration tent no later than 6 PM to check in and sign waivers before the 6:15 PM start. All riders must wear a helmet during the family event.

Detours in Downtown Lombard BEGIN AT 6 A.M. 
St. Charles Road will be closed, including the intersections and train crossings at Elizabeth Street and the underpass at Main Street, beginning at 6 a.m. Motorists are advised to utilize the crossings at Crescent Blvd. and Grace Street. Traffic will be detoured north to Grove and south to Parkside, around the race route. See map of the race route below.
