Beginning the week of July 10, 2023 (weather permitting), Structured Solutions, L.L.C. of Union City, Indiana, will be repairing sanitary sewer manholes located within the Village right-of-way or utility easement. Work is expected to take approximately 4-6 weeks.
To review a map of locations, refer to this Manhole Rehabilitation map.
Rehabilitation of sanitary sewer manholes will not affect the sanitary sewer system and customers will see no disruption in service. However, equipment and personnel will be in the vicinity and temporary lane reductions may be established. If impacts are more extensive, you may be contacted by Village staff or the Contractor.
The 2023 program includes approximately 50 manholes at various locations throughout the Village. These manholes were previously inspected and found to require some type of repair. The work will address numerous deficiencies such as; deteriorated concrete surfaces, repairing cracks that allow infiltration of groundwater/stormwater, and improving the bottom of the structure (invert/bench) to ensure the proper flow of sewage through the structure. Some manholes may involve multiple visits depending upon what specific repair(s) are required.
