The Lombard Fire Department and Lombard Firefighters Union 3009 are once again hosting their popular pink t-shirt fundraiser to raise funds for Bhorade Cancer Care Center at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Shirts will be available for purchase on Sunday, October 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lombard Fire Station 45, located at 50 E St. Charles Road in Lombard. Each shirt is priced at $20, and all proceeds will be directed toward supporting cancer patients at the Bhorade Cancer Care Center.
This year, the pink t-shirt design takes on a special significance as Union 3009 has adopted the Ram as its logo and mascot in alignment with Glenbard East High School. Throughout the month of October, Lombard Firefighters and Paramedics will have the option to wear their pink t-shirts in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In 2022, the Lombard Fire Department achieved great success by raising $4,600 through the pink t-shirt fundraiser. Since its inception in 2014, this initiative has contributed a total of $25,550 to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, strengthening its essential work in the fight against cancer.
