[ARCHIVED] Winter and Overnight Parking Reminders

Cars parked in snow with text

With the holiday season underway and as family and friends come into town, the Village of Lombard asks residents to be mindful of street parking rules:

Overnight Parking

Overnight on-street parking between 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. is not allowed in Lombard, per Village ordinance. However, during non-snow conditions, residents may request a temporary exemption of overnight parking at www.frontlinepss.com/lombard, with a maximum allowance of 4 days per month. If extended time is needed for long-term guests or home construction projects, residents may call (630) 873-4400 and speak to Police Administration staff. Please note that overnight requests will not be granted if the current weather conditions include a 1” snowfall.

For more information, visit the Overnight Parking page.

Parking After 1" of Snowfall

Parking on Lombard village streets is prohibited after 1 inch of snowfall. In the event of more than 1 inch of snowfall, both residents and visitors are required to remove their vehicles from the street to create a clear path for snowplows. This helps our Public Works crews work safely and efficiently to keep our streets clear of snow and ice.
