Project Information

This Project Includes: The design of the new, appropriately sized watermain and replacement of the necessary lead services. In addition to the newly designed water system, the project is anticipated to include limited structural rehabilitation of the existing sanitary sewer system (primarily cured-in-place pipelining with targeted point repairs), evaluation and remediation of critical storm sewer deficiencies, roadway patching and restoration of disturbed landscaped areas.

Project Schedule: Design Engineering to be completed at the end of Summer 2027. The construction would be completed in four phases to limit disturbance. The first phase would be constructed in Spring of 2028, with each of the three remaining phases to occur through 2032.

Project Limits: The work is to be within the District 450 area, this area is generally bounded by Parkside Avenue (north), Madison Street (south), and Grace Street and Main Street (east and west).

FAQs

Why is this project necessary? The current infrastructure is reaching the end of its service life and must be upgraded to meet current Village standards.

How does this benefit the Village? The replacement of watermain will increase water flow and expand the networks capacity to convey water and the replacement of residential lead water services.

Will my water or sewer be affected? No. The engineering consultant is completing the topographic survey through end of May as part of the design engineering. Water and sewer will not be impacted until the start of construction.
