The North Grace Street Utility Improvements project will be underway from April 17th through October 2023. During the project, Grace Street between Prairie Avenue and Sunset Avenue will be restricted to southbound traffic only. Northbound traffic will be detoured accordingly.
This project will fix breaks, sags, and structural issues in the sanitary sewers and manholes. Also, sections of the water main and sanitary sewer will be lined with a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), and other sections of sanitary sewers will be wholly replaced. Some water services will be moved onto a larger water main. In addition, the inside of the sanitary manholes will be lined to extend their life and make them water-tight. There will be periods when residents may not be able to access their driveways so overnight parking passes will be distributed as needed.
